Long time pending talk !
Hello! 😊 And a shout-out 👋to all the readers and visitors. This is Dr. Paralikar Urmila here and I'm visiting my own blog after a substantially long time. The time in between saw me loaded with newer responsibilities and then I went on to register my presence at new SNS viz LinkedIn. I found it to be better productive compared to facebook as professionals gather there with the explicit purpose of sharing expertise, contributions, looking for collabs, and identifying manpower for their organizations. Great learning experience LinkiedIn is. But I shall be re-connecting here soon. Ciao!

Recent Developments
It simply slipped my mind to inform my readers that I have returned to the I.A.S.E., Aurangabad District in the State of Maharashtra in the month of December 2015. Also just now I added the Social media bar to my website. I simply enjoyed the experimentation. Hope to expand it in future. I also want my readers to interact with me. I am also right now working on the same. Will soon be adding a chat window here. Stay tuned.

The Explicit Purpose of this Blog
Readers must understand that this blog is being written by a Teacher Educator and the explicit purpose of this blog is to forge a link between the global developments happening elsewhere in the world and the local teacher educators and the teacher trainees who may or may not be adequately fluent into surfing the web or are hard pressed for time as also the writer needs to communicate with parents and fraternity as & when needed. An attempt is being made to incorporate presentations, videos, articles, links, diagrams & all other audio-visual relevant material original as well as developed by others.

Dear Teacher Trainers and educators, Teaching is not merely doling out of the quantum or corpus of knowledge into the heads of the learners but it is bringing about, facilitating the process in them.we must take into account the following things when we are into teaching....
1. The learner characteristics
2. The dominant learning styles of the class
3. Any exceptions such as the gifted/ learning disabled/ challenged ones/ differently abled
4. Appropriate approaches to teaching
5. Intelligence level as well as the intelligence typing of the students etc.
and there are still so many ingredients that go into it. But it is an experience that even in the best of the schools, teachers barely attend to the needs of maximum students. often it is a race against time and completion of syllabus is the prime objective for both the management and the teachers.
One feels that learning needs to be handled very systematically.
1. the students needs be analyzed and classified
2. the students intelligences be analyzed and classified
3. the average dominant learning style of the class be identified
4. class dynamics be studied at least.....
All this before one goes into the selection of the content and learning approaches. That will avoid handling the students enmasse.

The definition quoted in the ppt is the essence of all the elements suggested by different theories viz... cognitivism, constructivism, behaviourism, information processing, humanism etc. and no authorship is claimed for it.

I'm quite sure heads must be turned and you must all be reflecting upon how this may be implemented in our classrooms. i always talk about and i am very much in favour of assisted learning and Discovery learning methodologies and this ppt is just a treasure.
